A Little About Myself
I grew up with a passion for creating. As early as 4 years old, I remember scribbling down fantastic creatures with a pencil and paper. Whenever asked, I always knew in my heart that I wanted to be an artist when I grew up, because it meant that I would get to keep doing what I loved most.
As I got older, my parents would always encourage me to pursue what I was most passionate about. I went to all the art oriented after-school programs and attended FIT for pre-college drawing courses.  In 2008, I completed my undergraduate degree at NJCU in Jersey City. Since then, I have taken continuing education courses at SVA and Parsons New School to stay up-to-date with ever-changing trends.
I have since worked in animation, storyboarding, photo restoration, graphic design, and editorial illustration. My path has been very interdisciplinary, as my portfolio demonstrates—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If you like what you see here and are interested hiring me for freelance work, I’d love to hear more about your project. Just hit the contact button and write me a message.
The blue jay in the logo is not anything deep or metaphorical—I simply think it’s a beautiful bird. I live in a very urban area, and we don’t have too many beautiful birds, but we do get blue jays.

With Sincere Gratitude,
Ciro W. Romero
